While the loss of a leader with the dynamism and stature of former Prime Minister Rafiq Hariri was a tragic setback to our country, and not to be forgotten, we the people of this beautiful eastern Mediterranean country have come together. We have honored Mr. Hariri’s memory and spoken in one voice, loud and clear, that Lebanon will remain peaceful, with a bright and promising future. Peaceful demonstrations were held throughout the country and people from all parts of the nation celebrated democracy by openly expressing their political views. Beirut and all of Lebanon welcome the world with heartfelt smiles and open arms to come visit its sunny shores, beautiful mountains, and lush green valleys.
