| Pope Johannes Paulus II (www.corriere.it) |
| | Pope John Paul II has died On Saturday 2nd April 2005, at 9.37 pm, Karol Wojtyła passed from this world to the Eternal Life. Since then, thousand of faithful and laic people have been praying for the Pope all over the world. Many governments proclaimed one or more mourning days. On Friday 8th April 2005, million of people from all over the world, but especially from dear Polska, reunited in Rome to celebrate together the funeral of Karol Wojtyła, Pope Johannes Paulus II. More than 200 foreign delegations participated to the ceremony, including politicians from non-Catholic and non-Christian countries. It seems even that historical enemies, such as the president of Israel and those of Iran and Syria exchanged a greeting during the mass. This shows how great Johannes Paulus II Magnus (that's how many call Him now) was. At a certain point, the many (but few) people who got the chance to be in Piazza San Pietro started shouting "Santo! Santo!" ("Saint! Saint!") and new Pope Benedictus XVI announced on 13th May that the procedure of beatification for Him can already begin, without waiting five years after the death. Michele and I, Europa, invite all the visitors of this page to address a prayer or, at least, a thought, to this man who has fought so much in his life for a better Europe and a better world! May Karol rest in pace. Amen! |
On Saturday 2nd April 2005, at 9.37 pm, Karol Wojtyła passed from this world to the Eternal Life. Here are my prayers for Him.
April 2005: "Dear Karol (I'm calling you by name, since we are all equal to God), I'd like to wish you everything one could wish a friend or a relative. I wish your new life would be as beautiful as we, who have followed you, imagine. I want to thank you for protecting me until yesterday (even if I never came to see you) and for continuing to do that, still more, from today on. I'm looking forward to address you as Saint Karol Wojtyla. Rest in peace. Michele"

| | Bentornata Clementina! Welcome back, dear Clementina! Welcome back to a simple volunteer who was in Afghanistan to help poor people but had no party card, no "Peace" flag, and therefore didn't deserve as much attention as the other Italians who were kidnapped in Iraq got. You weren't in Afghanistan to become famous but to help Afghan widows. As soon as you got out of the small airplane in Rome, you thanked those who have liberated you! Good girl! Others didn't thank anybody. I join your hope that all the other hostages in Afghanistan and in Iraq will be liberated as soon as possible! Brava Clementina! |
God save Israel! God save Israel from those who would like to delete it from Earth!
