If you enjoy walk, this is the right place...
Bring your mountain shoes or sport shoes with a good grip, rainwear, jumper or light jacket, sun protection, hat or a cap. You have so many walks (easy or moderate), for evreyone.

You can find this landscape in all Madeira, but this special is in Achadas da Cruz, Porto Moniz. You can go down, by foot or in cabin. Is a very good walk in mountain. You take 1 hour and 30 minutes or maybe 2. You can down by foot and up in cabin, is the best way.

Pico do Arieiro-Pico Ruivo.
If you left your car in Pico do Arieiro, be sure to find at least 5 hours.
In case of interruptions on the way due any obstruction (or heavy rain or strong winds), turn back using the same route. Don´t take risks. If the weather was good, you will have the opotunity to discover unforgettable places.

Paúl da Serra-Lagoa do Vento-Rabaçal-Risco-Paúl da Serra.
15 km´s -5 hours.
To get there just follow the
south coast trough Camâra de Lobos, Ribeira Brava and when reaching at Ponta
do Sol, start following the sings that says Paul da Serra.
If want to back up, there you have a mini bus from the local
City Hall, that provides transportation, because the road between Paul da
Serra and Rabaçal is to narrow - it costs 3€ for a two way ticket.
