Travel Tips

This is not strictly a VT meet, but hopefully he wil become a member in time :))) This young man is helping me in the garden with the heavy work like digging, shifting slabs, resiting plants and mowing the lawns. He is proving to be an able student in basic gardening and is keen to learn. Hopefully he will progress on to Horticultural College and attain his Diploma.

I finally got to meet Nils!!! What a nice man! and what a hunk!!! eh Nils, you ever get bored and need a pub crawl round Edinburgh, let me know eh?

We had a brilliant day organised by Gillianmclaughlin and jrs1234 I think 26 people were there?? We walked all around and visited many places that I knew well, some of it was very nostalgic for me, but despite that I had a good day. Froze my bum off in a punt and warmed up nicely in a pub, it was VERY nice to make new friends and go visiting afterwards.

Heheh this is a tribute to the kind of jokes we play on VT, corny ones!!! We had a GREAT day with Kristina in London, just gong round teh British Musuem. It was a lovely sunny day with lots to see and do :)

WHAT a sweetie this young man is! he will tell you he is not so young but he looks about 15 hahah! He dropped by after a mini VT meet in Edinburgh and enjoyed the garden and its delights. He is a highly intelligent gentle man and now, one of my firm favourites. I was planning to meet him again in Paris on the 9th June? however our travel plans all went haywire. No worries my dear, we will meet up again soon and have the kind of conversations that stir what little intellect I have!

Good to meet up with Greg finally! We invited him to dinner and he seemed to like my cooking, although wasn't keen on celery.... as luck would have it, I had already made celery soup :(

We yakked and yakked, sat outside on the porch and talked some more...

Finally got to meet Ramprat at Houston Airport on my way home. We've been talking in VT chat for many years now and it was lovely to see him and talk to him in person.

Think about Steve when you pass through Houston airport, he is the man who gets your suitcases on and off the planes for you! I asked him if he ever spots a VT bag, so if you have VT tags and are travelling his way, please use them to let him know!
