This is the Crystal Bridge downtown. When first opened it was the favored spot for murderers to dump their victims (actually two or three washed up in the pond in the year or so following). Aside from that unbecoming fact (now old history), the bridge is an architectural gem and tropical potpourri.

Crystal Bridge boasts several waterfalls which give off a mist that carries well into the conservatory. A somewhat slippery staircase near these falls (one of which is put at 35 feet in height) will guide the visitor upstairs to a walkway that provides the eagle's eye view of the ferns, cacti and plant life below.

The blades of a fern from an interesting angle. I particularly like photos where something disappears out of focus while something else is quite sharp.
