Travel Tips

A year ago i met the most wondeful guy, and he is responsible for a lot of my laughter (says i sound like a guinea pig !), he has brought me a lot of love and any day spent with him is a gift to myself that i cherish. Obviously there will be tough times but we have a solid friendship which i hope never ends. My heart is truly full.

Sue lives in Girona with her husband Brian. They have moved to Spain for a better quality of life, and have been there four years in May 2007. Its difficult at times, as she is grandma to Joe and Daniel, but we see her as often as possible thanks to Ryanair too for some pretty decent flight prices!

This is Christine, on her 50th Birthday! We're a close family and we had a great night out on this occasion, with a group of friends and her daughter Melanie.

My niece Tasha gave birth to Daniel James on 7th September 2006. He is just like his dad Jim, and is adorable, and thriving. Tasha is a brilliant mum, and her two boys are a credit to her.

Joe is now three on 31st May and has been through the wars a bit - we had a scare as he had a brain bleed in September which was horrible for him and for all of us. A great big thanks for all the help received from Guys Hospital in London. Joe has made a really great recovery.

I heard something recently which stuck in my brain - that we are all looking for a special person, who will be a witness to our lives, someone who will care about everything we do, every day, and be there to share it. So here are my witnesses - my best friend of over 40 plus years Lesley, her lovely hubby Paul and their son Tom (my godson). Now moved up from London to Lincolnshire for the kids to enjoy a simpler way of life, they are the people I go visit whenever I can! Thank goodness too for the phone and email!

I have known this delightful little girl since she was born 10 years ago and now we share silly jokes, I braid her hair and she tries to colour mine (!) we paint each other's nails and giggle about boys. Hey, who's the ten year old? Me!

I hope she gets her love of travelling from her mum and me - already she has been to many places in Europe, and to the States several times. This year the family goes to the Dominican Republic.
