Aussie Beanie Bear's Adventures

by Markyreid - last update: Oct 8, 2005

Hi Goosey Lucy, been a long time since i updated my adventure page. How are you and how is school going? I have just got back from spending 6 weeks in Europe. I saw about 6-7 different countries and even caught up with some of my relatives. The photo below is of me in Poland beneath the former Pope. The statue is huge isn't it!
Uncle Sam and I

Long Lost relatives

Here i am with one of the many cousins that i caught up with in Berlin. It was a very happy moment and we exchanged many happy memories. So many stories were shared. It was sad to leave, but i am sure i will bump into some other relatives in the future.

Preparing for road trip to Wales

Hi Lucy, and other readers. I recently visited Wales which is on the western side of Great Britain. This photo shows me doing all the hard working preparing for our trip to Wales. It was supposed to take only 1 1/2 hours to get there, but we had to go through road works and got lost a couple of times. No wonder we got lost, Mark had given me the map upside down!

Thats Better

Once i had turned the map the right way, we didn't have any problems. The ride was pleasant and i had a whale of a time in wales.

Me at Tintern Abbey, Wales

The country side was brilliant, with lots of forest and green hills. We stayed at Tintern directly opposite the Tintern Abbey, which you can see in the picture behind me.
Beautiful morning
Stonehenge Wonder

Stonehenge

I went to Stonehenge a few weeks ago too Lucy. You would love it here. Lots of big rocks stuck in the ground in a circle. Really big they are, 1 rock would be as big as your bedroom. They don't know for sure how they stuck them in the ground, but they believe they used 100's of men to lift them into the holes.

Sally and me at Stonehenge

Here is me with Sal at Stonehenge. She has looked after me, and is taken me to most of her trips. I normally don't have to pay either because she keeps me in her suitcase and the ticket people don't know i am there. Not the most comfortable way to travel, but its free!
Sal and me at Stonehenge
I was tired by now

Mark and me at Stonehenge

Here i am with Mark. As you can see, doing the tourist thing is tiring. Mark was keen to keep walking around Stonehenge, but i had enough. So i hitched a ride on his shoulder and had a little nap.
