| | Karon Beach The sheer volume of sand washed onto the streets really amazed me. It was incredible. Patong was not affected like this! |
Karon A sports field covered in plastic chairs and other debris including a television set.
Such an unrealistic scene. | | | Can you see the television set? |

| | Karon Beach Incredibly, many drinks are still upright in the fridge shelf! |

| | Karon Beauty ...And finally something beautiful to finish off with after all the damage.
As I had walked by, this beautiful little girl wei'd at me. I asked her to do it again so I could take a picture and asked the bigger girl to join in. It was so heartwarming and wonderful to see such beautiful, resilient, magnificent people as they sat just 40 metres from the pictures above without complaint, only friendship and respect.
The Buddhist Thai people are the most wonderful people I've ever met. |
