I'll always remember this scene, with the bird standing out in the middle of such a big expanse of shallow, mint green water, as we were kayaking by. Possibly some version of a Great Blue Heron??
This striped iguana is called a Wish Willy. Another kind of iguana, known locally as "bamboo chicken", is eaten seasonally here.
There were many pelicans.
Of course there are plenty of domestic animals here, too.
A Great White Egret? I'm not positive, but it sure was beautiful.
