Pusher Street - no photos - oops! This is one end of Pusher Street, the main thoroughfare in Christiania. Where certain substances are traded. Strictly no photos! My excuse is I was lost and there are no street signs :-) |
Weird bicycles The area is the centre of the weird bicycle industry. There are plenty of weird bicycles and contraptions of all shapes and sizes in Copenhagen. Often with a large basket, or cabin for the children, or a dog! |
...and Weird Houses Plenty of strange homes here too. All over the place. Handmade I would say, or recycled from bits and peices! Every one is unique. |
And strange fantasy homes I don't remember seeing any other houses more weird than this one. A real Hansel & Gretel Gingerbread style round house. This is not a backward community - many of the houses had TV satellite dishes. |
And it wouldn't be complete without... ...Christiania's public toilets. I didn't try them, but I am sure they are well looked after. Certainly colourful. I did not hang around here too long with my camera. Who wants to be photographed heading for the bogs?! |

marielexoteria Tue Oct 16, 2007 11:25 UTC Thank you. I'll definitely remember to watch my head when taking a boat tour. | diocletianvs Thu Sep 13, 2007 17:25 UTC At some points I felt like you were describing my stay in CPH (going with students, going to Malmo and Luisiana, the boat trip, staying in Cab Inn....) LOL at almost losing your head under the bridge - that also almost happened to me! | Mariajoy Mon Jul 24, 2006 21:09 UTC Thanks for the info re The Cab Inn - looks like that's where we will be staying on our visit there! Must remember those vegetarian places too! Cheers bigears! ;-) | barryg23 Fri Jun 9, 2006 08:24 UTC Great page on Copenhagen. Will be there this weekend for 3 days. Good tip on Riz Raz, could be very helpful as we are trying to keep costs down |
