"Blizzard of January '05" Brookline Travelogue by garridogal

I took these pictures 3 days after the blizzard of January '05, on a day when we got about 5 or 6 more inches of snow.

Snow always looks so pretty when it's coming down or fresh, doesn't it? It changes the look of everything and muffles sounds. It's quite peaceful....

In cities it tends to get really dirty, really quickly. All this pretty whiteness gets stained with dirt, soot, automobile exhaust, pollution and other things - well, you can use your imagination!

When we get as much snow as we did this past Winter, it seems to take forever for all of it to melt leaving sand piles, garbage but hopefully, no bodies!
