Hello Andy, Outstanding pages. Thanks for the virtual tour. Tomas Eriksson :)
Great description. I forgot all about the many ways brits call their money.
Great London tips and pics - Its nice to see what somebody has to say about your home town - Mike in "Barking Town" - the forgotten suburb of London.
Hi Andy Re your item on The Gherkin: the Baltic Exchange is NOT "an insurance company", it's the world's shipping exchange, started 1744. If you want details, email me info@intlinkint.com - Jeffrey (Baltic Exchange member)
Fascinating Spitfire in Trafalgar. Would love to know more about it. Early Mark I with 2 blade prop! Authentic or replica?
Erm: SmartWater is designed for the protection of buildings and properties. Its unique forensic fingerprint is almost invisible to the naked eye, fluoresces under ultraviolet light, and is virtually impossible to completely remove.
Hi Andy I just read this tip about the Pearly Kings of London. Fantastic tip. I am so intrigued. Thanks for sharing this. Kat
Simply one of the most intriguing pages I've seen about London! I learn a whole lot more about this very place than browsing through an encyclopedia!
I suggest you visit http://www.towerbridge.org.uk/TowerBridge/English/BridgeLifts/ where it confirms the bridge lift 900 times per year.
Not sure whether this is a wind-up or not... Smart Water of course is a fluid with a unique chemical composition which can be sprayed on valuable goods and subsequently used to prove ownership in the event of theft.
