Go on, dive in!

Waterfalls

One of the adventures I've had recently was visiting the waterfalls. They are not actually on Boracay - I sailed over to Malay on the mainland, took a ten minute tricycle ride, then it was around 40 minutes hiking through the hills to get there. There are some fantastic views on the way, and we cooked a delicious BBQ when we arrived. After the hike, we were hot and dusty, so it was very refreshing to jump into this freshwater pool and cool down.

Shopping at the Talipapa

This picture was taken at the local market last year. Unfortunately the whole thing burned down in a huge fire. It has now been rebuilt in several different locations.

Sailing

Sailing is an absolute passion of mine, and a good way to get around the island and visit remote beaches. My idea of a perfect day out is to pack a picnic and some wine and head off for a day out. If you are lucky, you can find a little beach of your own and set up camp, away from the tourists on White Beach.

Quiet Beach

I live at the southern part of the island, which is pretty quiet compared to the middle of White Beach. There aren't as many backpackers around these days, but this is where you are most likely to find them. This pic was taken in October - a good time to see the island as there are way less tourists around.

Friends making music together

Boracay night life is not just about bar-hopping! There's nothing like an evening spent with these tribal musicians. A fantastic time is usually had by all.

Beach Mobiles

This is just one of the tranquil scenes in Angol. Settle down with a good book and get working on your tan.

Sleeping on the Bar Again...

How come he gets away with it and I don't? Just cos he's way cuter than me....

Friends Getting Artistic on the Beach

You wouldn't believe the things you can do with sand!!!
