The lake is called "LAC SACACOMBIE"
At present (NOV.15th 2002) the Television network from FRANCE are filming on a deserted Island on the lake " The program SURVIVOR"
This one is made of boards cut from logs of trees from the area.

SITUATED IN THE TOWN OF SAINTE-ALEXIS-DES-MONTS Quebec about 50 miles from TROIS RIVIERES and JOLIETTE. Constructed of trees cut in the area. All log construction.
A road had to be built through the mountains by blasting away several mountain tops and leveling out some of the huge hills. They also had to haul in sand for fill and gravel, The road is newly paved It is a thrilling ride up and down the hills, on a well built road.
SUMMER AND WINTER ACTIVITIES, HUSKY Dog sledding, Cross country Skiing,snowmobile rides on groomed trails,hiking, snowshoeing,SKID PLANE,diving under the ice, Spa,Massage.
In summer, Boating and canoeing,canoeing down a river,Skin diving,Kayak,swimming on a private beach,EXCELLENT FISHING,plane rides,water skiing,Forest walks on marked trails, nature trails,spa,massage,mountain bike,Horse back riding etc.
Outside overlooking the huge lake which has a 40 KM. shoreline and several islands.
There is a stairway leading down to the beach and dock. There are boats for rent and even a sea plane to take you on a tour of the area.
Visited here on Sat. May 26th 2002.
It is about 50 miles from Joliette by car.
