"Final Morning" State of Kerala Travelogue by travelinxs

Back at Fort Cochin that evening a true festival spirit was in full swing. Market traders, balloon sellers, fairy lights and the continual chorus of "Merry Christmas" from the locals.
Near the waters edge a stage had been erected and a heavy Indian rock band thrashed out a few numbers to a large crowd of delirious Indian lads, pogo dancing and throwing their shirts across the bopping heads whilst a small contingent of police with their standard issue sticks looked on bemused.

Our final morning was spent like every other; sitting in our favorite riverside restaurant watching the fishermen operating their counter-lever nets whilst numerous shoals of dolphins competed about them for the days catch.
