For my part, I travel not to go anywhere, but to go. I travel for travel's sake. The great affair is to move.

Sunset

Sunset over Hythe Bay (Jan 2005)
People travel all over the world to watch the sun go down, to Florida to stand on Sanibel Island to see it drop down in the the Gulf of Mexico, or to California to see it set over the Pacific.

Is that Sydney Opera House caught in front of the sun? No, it's cloud.

But this is just as good as the sun sets over Hythe Bay.
The last of the fishermen start to reel in their lines as the light continues to fade.

Autumn Day!

Another time. This time an autumn study of the men on the beach foreshore.

Blimey, Gurka food. We ate curry when we scaled the highest peak in the Danish mountain range this summer. For 2 of our party it was to be their undoing - See my Silkeborg travelogue - Mike in "Barking Town"

Visited yesterday as my partner spent ages 1-6 in Hythe many years ago. Your photos are very good... lovely, lovely town!

Hey, I've got pictures of me and my bro on the RHD railway, scary big flares and all c.1980! Cool place. Dungeness though...maybe I needed a guide to appreciate it's beauty? He he!
