19 January 2005After several years of e-mailing each other, Janet, VT Member "Pawtuxet" and I finally got to meet in San Diego.
We, (Janet, Hoot--Janet's handsome, charming husband, Dutch--their handsome, charming son, and I, ) met in Old Town San Diego State Historic Park at Casa de Bandini's lovely patio, for drinks.
Hoot had been stationed at Miramar some years back and Dutch now lives in North County, so besides talking about VT we had lots of other interesting topics to discuss, not to mention consuming bowls of Salsa, baskets of Chips and delicious Margaritas. I had a wonderful time.
They had to leave early for a prior engagement, but not too soon to meet VT Members, Spartan and laurijeanne, who arrive just in time for dinner. The evening continued at Casa de Bandini with a spicey Mexican meal and a relaxing good time with Barry and LJ.
