Prairie style overhang on the roof, which I always liked. Very practical to keep the water off the house in a downpour. This was a beautiful restoration job.

This doorway was a knock out. You can't appreciate the glass in the door, but I would guess that they have all original detailing throughout.

If you click on this pic to see the details, you would observe that the stone work is unusual in its application. Probably an artist designed this one. It's really pretty spectacular. Loved the colors.

Golden HIll Neighborhood

Right next door to South Park is the Golden HIll Neighborhood. It's in transition but soon to be the next hot spot for anyone wanting to restore a bungalow. This one was derelict, according to my son, and someone has done a quick clean up to resell it. I wish they hadn't used inexpensive replacement windows, but they have done enough clean up so that the next owner can refine it and have a wonderful house near the freeway entrance and perhaps make money when they sell it in another 2 - 4 years. OK...that's the real estate agent coming out of me. Sorry. I get carried away with real estate when it comes to interesting architecture.

new...but w/ a spainish influence

this one located right across from a "dog park". My son seems to like visiting these...he loves dogs. he says the dogs always come to check him out when he goes to sit in the park. Says there are dozens of folks there every evening.

stucco...of course

Not just wood frame bungalows in this area...still a sprinkling of the old stucco...south west influence. It's really a nice collection between the two neighborhoods of South Park and the emerging neighborhood next to it.
