Walk up 23rd Street and see hundreds a designer shops and wonderfully "hip" restaurants, and equally hip people. Continue UP until it turns into Vist Drive (at Burnside Street) and get great views of the city, and see some of the most expensive homes in Portland...or Oregon. |
| | Walk down "Park Blocks" Park blocks is a strip of park that runs through about 10 blocks in downtown. There are many students lounging and studying ther. It begins at Portland State University campus. Statues, art museums, small restaurants, and park benches make it a wonderful place to relax in the shade of the overhanging trees..sit on the grass! |
Marina at River Place | | |
| | For Lease...bring lots of $$$$ |
| | St. John's Bridge The bridge is on the Northwest side of town across the Columbia River. The photo was taken at Cathedral Park. There is a public boat launch there. |
Mount Hood The mountain is about 2 hours drive from downtown. | | |
| | The Oregon Coast The coast can be reached from Portland in about 2.5 hours by car. The closest beach town is Astoria. A beautiful small fishing town known as "little San Francisco" due to all the hilly streets. |

I will check out your tips with interest :-) | keida84 Fri Jul 22, 2005 21:11 UTC Hi I took your suggestion and looked at your Oregon page. How nice there is a used bookstore at the airport!!! Oregon looks great, I have driven up the coast to Canada but that was many years ago. Kat |
