Rocks, Cacti, Plants & Vistas-In Casabari Park

by fitbod - last update: Jan 22, 2005

Under a Huge Rock

It looks like a rock bridge
Standing underneath one of the many unusual and very large rocks (or are these boulders??), I am dwarfed by its height and size. The shade it provided was a nice break!
Have a seat and relax...ahhh

Do You See a Dinosaur Head?

As I gazed at this formation, my eyes saw a dinosaur's head. Maybe I have a little too much imagination. The bottom of the rock is hollowed out big enough to sit in!
Just a little closer to heaven

Rocky Mountain High

If you enjoy a little challenge, you should definitely walk up the trail to this high point in the park. There is a tricky spot when you have to squeeze between rocks, but you can do it! The trip is worth the effort! Once on top, you are treated with scenery from every angle of this island of Aruba.

Okay, So This is Nothing New...

Just more of the same only different, yes? If you were there, you would be able to fully appreciate the many plants, foliage and rock formations within this unusual place. All of it is natural, no "placed" pieces or parts.
Ascending-Descending

The Highest In the Park

Another look at the trek up to the peak of Casabari Park. Some are just beginning and some are just ending...kind of like our lives, don't you think??
Look very closely and you will see...

Amidst the Rough and Rugged

Few flowers can be found in this park, but i found some! Look closely and you will too. A tall, leafy plant with obscure bright pink flowers trying to make themselves known...barely visible, but they are there!
Yes, another rock...ho-hum...

But Isn't It Unusual??

I have to wonder what made this rock become perched so precariously , as if it will continue on its downward descent until it falls and makes a huge "CRAAAASSHHHH" and everyone screams and runs!!! LOL
A garden of Aloe Vera

Ahhhh, Aloe....

The people of Aruba must realize that crazy tourists think they can get a tan in a day. So they are sure to have extra Aloe plants around the island just in case an emergency sunburn comes along.
This Aloe garden was nestled beneath a shady grove of trees, surrounded by a rock wall.

J_Flick 03/07/06 Feb 26 2006 & on a tour of the island we traveled to the “Natural Bridge” only to find that it has collapsed. I would still suggest that you at least visit this location as there are many other wonders of nature located here.

Hi Mary, thanks for the tip about exact change for buses. I like posting those tips myself, as circumstances could prove embarassing if you aren't aware. Pa
