|  | The mystery invitation The mystery meeting started with this Christmas 2004 email:
Hi PJ,
I have a question for you. Do you think Swanèt and you can visit xxxxx somewhere between January 8-and 14 for a mini-mini-mini-tiny VT-meeting????
Somebody really wants to meet you ;-O |
| | On our way to xxxxx; no Utrecht! So, after many more emails we were all set to go to xxxxx at January 8, but a sudden storm with force 10 winds postponed the trip.
OK, it took some calls and more emails to set the date at January 11. |
| | The meet Why that date; just because the Vakantiebeurs was starting (for trade people and the press-only!!!! Ooops).
Swanèt went out early to meet the mystery VT-ers at Utrecht, just to receive a call upon arrival: "I'm still at xxxxx in my pyjamas!".
Never mind 2 hours later they got together at the Burger King (that's a clue). |
| | To the Pub ....... Several bookshops were explored and than it was time to visit the Irish Pub at the mill: CLOSED! |
| | P-DAY!!! I had to work that day and arrived at 5.15PM. The party arrived half an hour late with a: "It's her fault!" (two ladies pointing to each other).
Just a matter of taking the wrong way and a biiiiiiiiig P-stop. |
| | Dinner and after dinner Finally we could enjoy a fast Chinese (is this hot? No, Babi Pangang is sweet. NOT!!!). I handed over traditional wooden shoes and we visited the Winkel van Sinkel. |
| | The Herring eater At the end we had to rush back and our train left with half a minute. Our friends had some kind of mixup. In stead of arriving at xxxxx, they ended up in Tiel. To the next meeting: AMSTERDAM |
