With a large variety of slopes to choose from, good cable transport and good accomodation, Poiana Brasov is the best known ski resort in Romania.

This is Cabana Postavarul, halfway on the Drumul Rosu ski slope, where people stop to rest and have either a warm tea, or wine or a pint of beer like I did.

Poiana Brasov and surroundings (Brasov City) from the cable car. That's a pretty view on clear days. Things can get foggy and chilly some days, but I've got a great weather this time.

Cheers to VT fellows from Cabana Postavarul. You can see that's a great panorama place to watch the mountains covered in snow. Also, in mid-winter, when the temperature is arround -8 degrees, it is though a pleasure to stay in the sun, because in direct sun the temperature can climb to arround 5 degrees and it is so pleasant.

View from the highest point accesibile by cable car. From this you go downhill choosing the slopes at your convenience.

I wish I had been in Brasov! Unfortunately, our schedule was so tight that we had to postpone our visit to Brasov until next time-hope that soon!
