Nyanga Mountains

by Bigs - last update: Sep 2, 2002

Nyancombe Falls

Troutbeck

The Troutbeck Inn is a famous resort, with itīs golf course, wooded hills, and a foyer log fire itīs a place to relax for the rich Zimbabwians!

At the Cabin Kiosk you can buy delicious homemade jams and marmelades! Yummieh!

Connemara Lakes

I donīt know what they have in common with Connemara in Ireland, but they are a very relaxing!

Pine Tree Inn

What a lovely place! Cozy little hotel under pine trees! The best have been the hot water bottles in our beds! It was really cold here at night, around O° Celsius! The a la carte menu was first class!

Rhodes Hotel

The former home of Cecil Rhodes, nowadays a hotel (and museum as I remember) is worth a visit too! Feel the colonial flair by having a drink on the terrasse!

Honde View

A view over the Honde valley!
The Honde Valley is a place for the production of exotical fruits and delicious tea!

Mutarazi Falls

The Mīterazi Falls are the second highest in Africa! From the escarpement itīs 762 meters down into the Honde Valley. There is a footpath to the waterīs edge! Be careful! Itīmust be a geat sight from the Honde Valley as well! I only have been above the fall!

Mount Nyangani

Mount Nyangani is the highest mountain in Zimbabwe. Itīs 2593 meters high and a favoured climb!

Nyaga is not a game park, but there are kudu, wildebeest, waterbuck, leopard, jackal, reedbuck and many birds!
