Hermann Park

Hermann Park - it has water, trees, trails, monuments, a train for kids, a zoo on one side and the Museum District on the other side. The Metro runs along the edge and it's a great place in Houston to spend a day or half a day.

Trees in Hermann Park - covered in Air Plants!

Hermann Park Monument

If I remember correctly this is a momument to remember the people who died in the second world war - if I'm not correct please let me know!

The Fountains

One of the many fountains Hermann Park.

Cancer Survivors Plaza

Hermann Park has many planted garden areas and monuments - this one is dedicated to Cancer Survivors.

More Fountains

This fountain is outside the Houston Museum of Natural Science.

It's an interesting waterfall, a compass and a timepiece. The sundial part is excellent as it has been calibrated for every month of the year. When I visited in December it was spot on!
