Trust in Him.....

In the course of my life, I pass through tunnels, feeling my way in the blackness, only having touch as my guide....but then somewhere from within my soul, my heart...a tiny light begins to illumine my path....I am no longer afraid, no more do I grasp in the air about me to find my way. I listen closely, still in the damp, cold hollowness....and I hear the heartbeat of my spirit calling me, my soul leading me, my heart comforting me as I slowly seek that light coming closer to me...giving me hope and courage....to face what may be outside the tunnel waiting for me.
And at last I know I will be alright; I am strong; the tunnel of blackness will not consume my life....I am a survivor and I will be happy with each new day offered.....each new face I see smiling at me....I find within myself a new beginning of hope, love and joy.....

Do you ever stop, I mean really stop?...to ponder, to gaze...
Do you ever listen, I mean really listen?...to hear, to know...
Do you ever see, I mean really see?...to appreciate, to treasure...
Do you ever feel, I mean really feel?...to absorb, to take within...
Do you ever breathe, I mean really breathe?...to lift higher, to soar...

What if every day was a cool, crisp watermelon day?? Fresh, tasty, mouth-watering....so tempting you could not keep from diving in?? Irresitible, inviting, and finally...satisfying??
What if....??

Perhaps we have not counted all our blessings one by one;
Perhaps we have not bothered to remember whence they come,
And maybe we have taken for granted all the things
That the good Lord has created and the gifts that nature brings.
The autumn hills in glory robed a golden field of grain.
A sunset's dazzling splendor or the Milky Way's great plain,
The starry sky's sublimity, the ocean's mighty power,
The wonder of creation in the petal of a flower.
And so if we have failed to show by word of act or deed,
That we are thankful unto Him who fills our daily need.
May this day show we are grateful when we add up all the sum,
Of blessings we remember as we count them one by one.
