Australian Beaches

Cronulla North Beach - South Sydney

I need a pedicure...
Most of the time you can find me at my friends place down at Cronulla, a beachside suburb of southern Sydney. Thats my foot in the shot and this the view from her balcony. Not bad to wake up to ,or spend most of our lazy hours here.
Coogee - Sydney - East Sydney

Coogee

Theres no way I can cover all of Sydneys beaches in 8 chapters here - these are just my personal favourites
Stanwell Park

Stanwell Park Beach

If you leave Sydney and travel south on the F1 or Princes highway, you can turn off about 30 minutes down the track at a sign that says Stanwell Tops. This is the cliff whose base you see in this photo. Up top of those cliffs is a lovely old pub that juts out over the ocean for lunch. Then in a nearby park you can watch hang-gliders launch themselves off into the wide blue yonder. When you have had enough of gasping as they swoop and dive in front of you [ remember you are at the top of a cliff] then travel down the road and follow the signs to this beach. Always lovely and quiet, probably due to the fact its a bit out of the way

PS its a dog-friendly beach too.
Self up on the Whitsundays. Dunk Island beach.

Main Beach, Dunk Island

Hard work, but someone has to take up the responsibility of reviewing our beaches for the international travellers. See my Dunk Island travel page
Tall ship on the Whitsundays

Whitsundays

If you ever get lucky enough to travel and stay in the Whitsundays, look up google tall ship adventures. A lot of these old world boats are for hire and cruises. This one is just off the famous Whitehaven Beach, Whitsundays

Hi Laura... it's been a while since we've spoken. How are you doing? I like your new passport photo. I'll have to send you some senior portraits of our daughter Sara, on your other address. Sara graduates from high school this year.
