Some Vegetation Here is a kind of cool picture of some fluffy plant tops. (I know, I know.... you wonder how I know all these scientific terms. What can I say, it comes naturally to me.) This was in Washington DC in October, 2004. |
But by taking 2-3 steps further down the street, getting closer to the foliage and getting down on one knee, the perspective has changed and it makes for a very cool photo! |
Inanimate objects This is the photo that most people are going to take of this statue by the Danube in Budapest. (Jun 2004) |
| Another view of the statue |
The same statue but by simply crouching down, I can include the flowerbed in the foreground that was between the statue and I. (actually, I almost had the camera on the ground to get the right angle. |
And of course, framing is important While this first picture is pretty cool and shows some very interesting architecture on the Agricultural museum in Budapest, I felt it needed something different.... |
So I used another architectural feature to make it appear as though glimpsing something hidden. I really like the play of dark framing the light and colorful roof. |
And remember....... Don't forget to just look up once in a while! This is a spiral staircase leading up from the main entrance area to the dome in St. Stephens Basilica, Budapest |
