Here is a kind of cool picture of some fluffy plant tops. (I know, I know.... you wonder how I know all these scientific terms. What can I say, it comes naturally to me.)

This was in Washington DC in October, 2004.

But by taking 2-3 steps further down the street, getting closer to the foliage and getting down on one knee, the perspective has changed and it makes for a very cool photo!

Statue in Budapest

This is the photo that most people are going to take of this statue by the Danube in Budapest. (Jun 2004)

The same statue but by simply crouching down, I can include the flowerbed in the foreground that was between the statue and I. (actually, I almost had the camera on the ground to get the right angle.

And of course, framing is important

While this first picture is pretty cool and shows some very interesting architecture on the Agricultural museum in Budapest, I felt it needed something different....

Framed up

So I used another architectural feature to make it appear as though glimpsing something hidden. I really like the play of dark framing the light and colorful roof.

This is a spiral staircase leading up from the main entrance area to the dome in St. Stephens Basilica, Budapest
