Maybe it's a way to keep warm on a sunday, or perhaps it's because of the fear of God's wrath on crops and cattle, but this village appears to be rather religious, there are 2 churches that I saw, a chruch centre next to one, with it's cafe and a very churchlike monument. |
| | Which church? On the Main Street was this fairly impressive building. I am not sure if it is a proper church or a chapel or what, but it looked churchy to me. Maybe it's the Catholic one. Maybe Taoist, no idea. |
| | More traditional On the through road from the countryside, that I came in on, was this more traditionally harsh looking church. This one had signs referring to The Church of Scotland, so at least I know this is a chuch, no doubt whatsoever. |
| | So keen here Not only is this a church though, it is also a "Church Centre", with the Mustard Seed Cafe, and some meeting hall and education rooms or something.
And a flightpath overhead. |
| Dinne let the dog dig Doug. |
| | But, it leads one way As ever though, the main reason for the existence of religion and churches is death. We all go there and some want to plan ahead and reserve a decent spot for that time, so they join up and get all chummy with him up there. And of course matey with the planners for the boneyard too. Two pretty skeleton orchards here. This is the town centre one. |
