| | 'kolam' This piece of art is call the 'kolam'. It's decorated at the guest main entrance.
During thoese days, basic 'kolam' which made of flour/cooked rice was done to feed birds. It wasn't that decorative as today and colour was not necessary. As time evolved, it became like a 'fashion' or 'art' decorations to the Indians. Not only weddings you will see it. Certain festivals and Indians new year days 'kolam' will be on display. Nowadays rice beads is used together with colour beads to make the enviroment lively. Believe it or not. |
