My son stopped in Honolulu on the way to the Persian Gulf in June, 2004. I know I'm cheating, but these photos are so nice I have to share them. He's in the Marines and is in Baghdad as I write this in November, 2004. He doesn't have access to the internet where he is at, so he can't do his own VT pages at this time. Perhaps after he gets back Stateside he will.
If you can tell me the kinds of flowers these are, besides the bird of paradise, I will place the name in the caption! Thanks!!

| | Hey ma! Look what I caught! Ryan and a couple of his buddies rented a charter fishing boat in Honolulu for a day early in June and caught a couple. Yes, they did eat them later! Ryan also caught an albacore (mahi-mahi) tuna, and he said it was best sushi he's ever had! (Guess so when you catch it yourself!) |
