Sydney Aquarium in Darling Harbour

Lizards

Lizards

There are many many animals that you can see in the Aquarium in Darling Harbour. Among the first you will probably see are the se lizards. They're pretty big and look happy in their surroundings.

Crocs

The crocs never seem to look happy ever. Well they never seem to look unhappy either, but always hungry. These creatures are built to kill and they have been doing so for millions of years.
Crocs
Penguins

Little Blue Penguins

These are the little blue penguins, the same you will find on Philip Island, near Melbourne. They are the smallest penguin on earth, but they are also the cutest, make sure you don't only see them here but also at the penguin parade on Philip Island. Despite that being so touristic it's still worth checking out.

Jelly fish

No-one and I mena no-one likes these horrible critters of the sea! Well maybe the sea turtles that eat the little bastards, but these jelly fish can sting you horribly. I'm not sure if these are the notorious box jellyfish, but if so, make sure not to accidently put you hand in the tank, because that might be fatal!!! Box jellyfish can be found in coastal waters during the wet season north of the Capricorn Line. Make sure to wear a stinger suit if you really want to swim around.

Seals

Seals

Meet the seals. You will smell them from miles away, but they are ever cheerful. These fellas were simming around all the time and occasionally jumping out of the water. One of their friends was playing dead somewhere on the side of the bassin. Or maybe he was dead? That would explain the smell!! :P

The biggest tank of Australia

The Sydney Aquarium has the biggest tank in Australia and it is very impressive. At first when you see this, you think it's not actually that big, but as soon as you...
Fish and a shark lurking at the bottom of the tank
People look scared and taking pics of the sharks
...walk through this tube and have sharks swimming all around the place you are sure it has to be the biggest tank in Australia.

Shark!!!!!

The scariest fish in the ocean. Ever since mankind knows about these fish, we are scared of them. ANd not without reason, they look scary to start with and some species have attacked people more than once. However most of the time it's just a mistake and if you get bitten you'll lose a limb or two, but sharks generally don't like human meat....

Looking at about 3 weeks. I don't know...I'm *not* planning a strict itinerary. I'm scheduling flexibility. :-) But I'm looking to start at about mid/end of Jul...maybe start from Brugge and head over to Amsterdam and then down, across and up to Groningen
