Music is a big part of any road trip. Its not only a source of entertainment, but it intensifies the feelings and emotions awakened in a journey. Music is the soundtrack to life and the poetry of Generation X.
I'm a big fan of lyrics. I often interperse them into things I have written because, to me, they just fit. If you've read any of my pages, chances are you've seen a verse thrown in either on a travel page or a tip. It probably doesn't fit, in some people's estimation, but to me it reflects the moment or it is somehow intertwined with the memory.
Some songs are, in my opinion, quintessential road trip tunes. The words of others express how I feel, or felt in a particular situation. Hearing these words often brings me back to a point in time along a particular journey, even 100s of miles or days past that experience. Some are inspiring & some are simply moving by virtue of the depth of emotion portrayed
Although I would
like our world to change
It helps me to appreciate
