| Goree Island Dakar Senegal |
This island is 800mx300m and was a very important slave-trading port. UNESCO protects it already since afew years and still many parts of the island is in rebuilt to improve quality. Back in 1850 the island had a population of 6000, ten times the present numbers. Dakar started to develope after Goree got forgotten and slowly disapeared in the comerce route in 1857.
