Shopping in Paris, 19th century style

Paris' passages

Entering Passage Verdeau
Does it rain ?
Do you want some time out of time?
Do you want to shop where our grand grand parents did ?
Enter one of the Passages (Verdeau, Jouffroy, Panoramas, Galeries Vivienne...)
The passages are what remain from 19th century shopping malls, here you'll find strange little shops, in an eerie silencious atmosphere just some meters from the Grand Boulevards.

Come in
photo verdeau
You can find old and new books, photos, cameras (minimum 60 years age), a library selling only cinema themed posters and books, a shop selling dolls houses furniture...
Need a hand made walking stick ? A collectible one ? this shops has some awesome custom made ones
A shop selling only walking sticks
At least it doesn't rain inside
Just want to walk by ?
Le "Bonheur des Dames" offers everything for embroieders
Au Bonheur des Dames
Musee Grevin
Passage Jouffroy, you'll find Musee Grevin's old entry (emergency issue now) beside the tiny hotel Chopin
Everywhere, tou can come across some very strange figures like those on display Passage du Grand Cerf (a youngs fashion designers' haunt)
Passage du Grand Cerf
Passage des Panoramas
And, even if you are hungry, no need to come out. There are more than one small restaurant (mainly Passage des Panoramas, but each passage has at least two)
