Hot! Hot! Hot! If I remember correctly, I was in New Orleans in the summer of 1990. I was there with my parents on one of our two-week trips. The heat index was 115º in the shade and my mother decided that we would take a walking tour of the city she found in a guide book. I know we saw lots of interesting things, but I don't remember any of them. The few things I do remember were very memorable, though (the Bourbon Street girls coming on to my stepdad as we walked by and the guy who kept asking me about state birds and flags...what the heck was that about?). |
Must See Activity, A Cruise! I also distinctly remember taking a cruise up and down the Mississippi. It lasted about two hours or so, and they fed us real Cajun food. Unfortunately, I don't remember the name of the company, etc, but I'm sure any tourist guide would have that kind of info in it. |
Must-See Activity, The St. Louis Cathedral The St. Louis Cathedral. It is truly magnificent. |
