| | The fascinating world of animals. I couldn't resist adding another travelogue with animal pictures. These ones I've made in the Budapest zoo.
In the picture left you can see the eye of an eland antelope. A large gracious animals with a tender touch in the eyes. See if you can spot the difference between the males and the females while you are there.
The opening picture is an axolotl (Ambystoma, or Siredon, mexicanum), salamander of the family Ambystomatidae , notable for its permanent retention of larval features, such as external gills. It is found in lakes near Mexico City, where it is considered edible.

| | And look this beautifull fish. It is very poisonous. You can find him under the big greenhouse. A small admission is asked for entering the greenhouse and the aquarium , but it is for sure worth the money.
|
| | A look into the pinguins under water world. They share the exhibit with the sea dogs. A nice combination. I took quit some time abserving them.

Jen611 Thu Jan 17, 2008 23:53 UTC Thanks for the helpful review! How dressed-up do people get when they attend the opera? Are tuxedos or suits necessary for men, or would nice slacks with a blazer and tie be appropriate? Thank you! | tini58de Mon Jul 24, 2006 11:59 UTC We loved Cafe Ruszwurm as well. Loved your tips and your writing! Very vivid and helpful! Thanks a lot for a lovely page, Frank! | MalenaN Mon Jan 2, 2006 19:00 UTC The baths and cafes sounds to be wonderful! I will visit Budapest for a few days later this year and I'm really looking forward to that. | mazzap Wed Nov 16, 2005 23:00 UTC I wish I had read your Budapest tips before I went!! They are excellent - still, it was fun reading them after the event too - btw, I love all your 'food' pics - lol ;-)) |
