here's a place to relax and apppreciate the beauty of running water at the California Plaza. The main fountain was contributed by WET design and Arthur Erickson Corporation (1992). Local workers and others converge here for a nice break, enjoying the scenery, while having a meal and drink!

My LA Diary Notes - from 2006:

Nov 6 - Barely made but took Metrolink around 6:50 AM into downtown; got EZ Pass for Metro bus/rail line (finally!) at Union Station ; became interested in Tamale festival occuring on Nov 11; got seriously delayed on the Blue Line after 5:00 PM (argh!). A train car got disabled somehow...

7- went to Hot Off the Press for the first time; marveled at the concept of this grill joint and order the panini called "The Column"; was pleased with the taste; read the LA Times and discovered that the Blue Line got delayed again yesterday night in a seperate instance-a man who was struck by a train car and died. Yikes!

Nov 8-11-had the wonderful Peruvian potato dish, "causa", from Wednesday Farmer's Market; found out on Thursday that the new Fox show, Standoff, will soon shoot in the building where I work!, Friday four alarm fire by 6th and Hill-oh the commotion; Blue line back to normal running times after Wednesday!

Nov 13-Standoff TV crew came and shot with a bang, members were noisy as hell outside the doors as if they were still in elementary school. Yikes!

Nov 21-no movie, fire or any other action downtown and near the office; all hot weather during the holiday season in LA-yikes!;nice to see the ice rink at pershing Square up again,; wonder if I'll attempt to skate there; been bagging lunch 'cause $6 a day to spend for lunch outside is not so kind on the wallet; pleased not by morning fire alarm test this morning
