The Szechenyi Chain Bridge - My personal favourite

by MedioLatino - last update: Sep 28, 2004

Unique view

Chain Bridge from Sandor palace's terrace
This is a view you probably won't get, since it's from the terrace of the Sandor Palace, which is the residence of the President of the Hungarian Republic, and as such is closed for the public, except on one weekend during the year.
Chain Bridge and Gresham Palace

Chain Bridge and Gresham Palace

View of the Bridge from the terrace between the Castle and the Funicular.

Clark Adam square in fornt, Gresham Palace (Four Seasons Hotel) in the back and the "Spinach house" on the left side (fortunatelly this one is now under de-/reconsturction).

Chain Bridge, Gresham and St Stephans Basilica

The view the Castle Hill offers is just amazing at night!

The Bridge, the Gresham Palace and the St Stephans Basilica from the terrace behind the bulding of the Castle Theater (near the end station of the Castle Bus).

Castle through the Chain Bridge

Castle through the Chain Bridge

Walking along the Danubeside, the Bridge can offer some interesting views! :)

Chain Bridge and fireworks

This is something you can only see on the 20th of August every year, during the fireworks which sort of closes the celebrations of the Day of the Hungarian State's founding.

Fireworks and great lights on the Bridge.

Attila, Thanks for your wonderful recommendations and photos of Budapest. I am visiting Budapest in June with a friend. Are there any new or especially interesting restaurants near the Kempinski Hotel? Thanks. Sincerely, Martha

Hi Attila - your comment reached me when I was already on the way to Budapest. But I'll be on some low-cost trips later this year and surely I'll repeat Budapest, if possible! Have a nice day - Karl
