Start your tour with a visit to the newly expanded RIVERFRONT PARK along Riverside Drive from the Ambassador Bridge,past the City Centre, to the Hiram Walker Distillary. Take in panoramic views of the Detroit skyline and the Odette Sculpture Park. COVENTRY GARDENS and THE PEACE FOUNTAIN'S floating display are one of the area's top attractions. JACKSON PARK combines lovely formal gardens, an experimental rose garden and a Lancaster Bomber on display. The PAUL MARTIN GARDENS at Willistead Park feature a collection of perennials that are rare to Essex County.
Windsor's west end features a number of activity\recreational parks and naature preserves.MIC MAC PARK , OJIBWAY PRAIRIE COMPLEX, which features peaceful woodland pathways and MALDEN PARK which provides cycling and walking trails and a natural amphitheatre for live performances.

Coventry Gardens

Located on Windsor's East side at the corner of Pillette and Riverside Drive, can be found this beautiful park. I remember coming here as a child and having picnics with my family. It is such a peaceful place and you can sit on one of the numerous benches and just watch the pleasure boats and cargo ships go by. Perhaps a few fishermen might be out too, trying their luck.

Peace Fountain

From the foot of Pillette, you walk along the Riverfront and you will come upon the PEACE FOUNTAIN. Dedicated to the memory of the late Charlie Brooks, it has a constant display of water falls that seem to tickle the sky. Watch out , you might get wet depending on the wind direction. In the adjoining square there is the occasional music presentations. I once enjoyed the music of the Optimist Band. They were just awesome.

Willistead Park

The Paul Martin Gardens at Willistead Park feature a collection of perennials that are rare to Essex County.

Reaume Park

Located at the foot of Pillette Road, Reaume Park contains many beautiful gardens and an excellent view of the Detroit River. So sit and relax on many of the park benches and watch the sailboats, pleasure boats and cargo ships go by.

LANCASTER BOMBER

Located east of Ouellette Avenue and south of Tecumseh Road East is JACKSON PARK which has lovely formal gardens and wonderful rose gardens. The Park is a favourite spot for Wedding photos, especially near the fountain. It is also the home of our "Lancaster Bomber". But it won't be there for much longer. Because of its deteriorating condition, it will be dismantled and moved to a Windsor Airport hangar where it will be refurbished.
