| | Buci Market Lots of local and imported fruits can be bought at the Buci market. Some fruit such as the strawberries and other berries are from France while the grapes come from Morocco for example. |

| | Rue Mouffetard Street Market In December, 2004 I finally visited the Rue Mouffetard street market. While the Buci market is great the Rue Mouffetard market is 100 times better in my opinion. Down a cobblestoned pedestrianized street you will not only find stalls of produce and fruit but also shops (fromageries, chocolatiers, boulangeries, rotisseries, patisseries) lining the street as well. An absolutely amazing atmosphere with the Parisians doing their daily grocery shopping too. |

Of course, a patisserie is here on the rue Mouffetard. | | |
| | A famous Parisian dish is Coquilles St. Jacques or scallops! You can buy them on Rue Mouffetard. |
Androuet, a famous fromagerie, has a branch on rue Mouffetard. It was pretty busy on the day I visited. | | | Androuet on rue Mouffetard |

Next time try the duquense eiffel hotel. | Robmj Sat Jan 17, 2009 09:42 UTC Nice info, I recall being up the top and being amazed at the traffic chaos below | toonsarah Sat Jan 10, 2009 16:47 UTC What a comprehensive page! You seem to have put all your VT energy into it ;-) I agree about the Orsay, and your tip about the Memorial des Martyrs de La Deportation is beautifully expressed | breughel Sun Nov 30, 2008 12:35 UTC Excellent practical tips. |
