| Me and Frederik in Banjarmasin. |
| | This is how the story starts. On that day I was surfing the net for information and I discovered virtual tourist. I booked us 2 nights in Jakarta before I even knew anything about the city. And before consulting my friends. Christa said , she loved to avoid Jakarta. Hmm... I just liked the sound of the word Jakarta. That is how I became a member.
Anyway - in June we went to Borneo-Kalimantan to go and visit the orang utan project we support with our own organisation. You wont find a page on that adventure. Tourist aren't allowed , these babys go back to nature. Really , it works , over 450 are learning to survive and getting used to the forest again. We stayed between them for a week. But we did visit Banjarmasin and Palangka raya. Those are the first attempts to build pages. I didn't had a digital camera back then and my English has improved since then. (thanks to VT - yes). The nice thing on that trip was we found also somebody to show us a bit of Jakarta. I discovered the spririt of this website right away. It was @rie or the lady miss Ukirsari we met for the first time. We liked that so much , next time in Jakarta we met again. :-) I treasure that experience. And If you want to know , I really love Jakarta. I don't know why , but the city talks to me. |
