BEST TIME TO TRAVEL:
If your purpose is to have fun and shop until you drop, the best time of the year to visti HKG, is during the months of July and August. Sale is everywhere. Hotel rates are cheap. Commodities are sprawling anywhere offering prices much lower than those of the commercial areas. But if you want to visit HKG in cooler months, October and November will be the best time. Temperature goes down to 16 or 18 degrees celcius and summer clothings are on SALE.
BEST PLACE TO STAY:
For comfort and style, Marco Polo is a good choice for business travellers. Travellers on tight budget, one of lthe best that offers comfortable accommodation and not to forget its convenient location, try BP International Hotel.
RESTAURANTS:
Various restaurants will cater to various preferences. So better check out the foodservice establishments for personal evalution. You may visit Lan Kwai Fong in the evening for a colorful and exciting night. If you want to try PEKING DUCK visit Jade Garden, it can be located somewhere near nathan road and kimberly street (please check your map).
SIGHTSEEING:
Dont forget to find time to visit Victoria Peak and Ocean Park. Nearby, you may visit Windows of the World. So from HKG, take MTR then when you reach the last station, transfer to KCR station to reach Shenzhen and cross border. Just make sure you have your chinese visa. SEAsian, no need to have the visa.
SHOPPING:
Stanley market is a nice place to buy housewares, ready-to-wear items, sporting needs, arts and crafts. Please dont forget to negotiate for a better rate.
HEY WAIT.....
If you love See's Chocolates, there's one outlet in Landmark . To get there just take MTR and get off at Admiralty Station.
