Wailua Falls....Smiles...everyone!

Wailua Falls
These falls are so massive in size, this picture does not do it justice. It is amazing to see this beautiful display, it really makes you feel so small compared to nature.

Spouting Horn

This is just something you have to see for yourself, its located on a popular beach on the South Shore. Get ready, it happens every few seconds..
There she blows! We finaly got it, after a few tries. This geyser like display is pretty cool to witness.
Tunnel of Trees Postcard

Tunnel of Trees

This picture is a shot of Kauai's Tunnel of Trees going north towards Poipo on Maluhia Road. Photo by Bob Abraham.

Although it doesn't look like this anymore, it looks more like a lush corridor of green on both sides.
'Opaeka'a Falls

'Opaeka'a Falls

Another great set of falls, located above the coastal town of Wailua.
'Opaeka'a Falls
Great view of the falls from the Opaeka'a Falls Lookout off Kuamo'o Road. Photo by Peter French

Another 'Opaeka'a Falls photo.
Hubby at the Entrance

The Blue Room

You can't tell from the picture, but this is actually the cave entrance into what is called...The Blue Room. It's located at the end of the road on Kauai’s North Shore. I heard some other visitors comparing it to the Blue Grotto in Capri in Italy. Apparanetly, there is a daily show a the Grotto. The Blue room is very quiet and serene, except for the bats. (see my tip)

I don't know how but it is purely blue once you get in all the way. The clear water creates a fantastically electric blue world. Its amazing!

Sorry no pictures of it, just the entrance to the cave!

Hi, you have great pictures of Hawaii! We had our honeymoon 1 year earlier. We had 1 week across CA, 1 week across the Hawaii islands and 1 week waikiki beach. You refreshed my memories :-) We visited the same places... Regards from Lower Saxony, Michael
