A few of my favourites things (photos actually)

6am sunrise

Flinders morning
I remember this well. Deep into the Flinders Ranges in South Australia in my motorhome and I sensed a sunrise. I was a bit early as the false dawn came and went and it looked like I had missed it, but, 43 shots later (this was about 32) I had a swag of nice sunrise shots. I hope you think so to.

Castiglion Fiorentine

An Italian hilltop village, post dinner, no-one about. How atmospheric can it get?

On the road side

Travelling from Sydney to Melbourne in spring occasionally will leave you gasping as you see verdant fields of Paterson's Curse, a purple flowering plant that is the curse of cattle (it makes them bloat when in bloom) but the joy of apiarists.
You'll most often see these fields south of Gundagai
What a place

Lago Di Misurina - Dolomites

I came upon this place and was stunned by its beauty. Everywhere you looked was picture postcard.
At one end of this tiny lake was a four star resort, at the other a place for children with respitory problems.

Glen Innes sunset

This was taken on the Gwydir Highway about 30 kilometres east of Glen Innes. I had stopped half an hour too early further down the road and thought it wasn't going to happen.
I got to here and it didn't happen either so I returned to the car but dallied for about two minutes.
Suddenly the sun breached a gap on the horizon and for five minutes it went berserk. I hope you like it too
Wonderful contrast
Would you live in the basement?

Vicenza

So many pictures of Vicenza off this bridge are taken looking the other way. I thought this was better.

Monteriggioni

A small walled village in Tuscany. Somewhat overrated in my opinion.
Lovely brickwork, classic Italian
A contrasting display

San Vincente de la Barquera

I wanted to see colourful fishing boats. Here in northern Spain I found an abundance. The dilapidated building in the background just adds atmosphere.

Hi Ian, thanks for stopping by on the Bergstrasse. How are you? Enjoy the Italian sun. I only see fog when looking out of my window.

Encouraged I hope - Libya's a fantastic place but some things are changing FAST, so going sooner rather than later is to advised if you don't want to find Tripoli looking more like a North African Dubai..

Hi! Keep in touch and maybe we can catch up for a glass of wine when you come to Montefiascone next month!
