Finally, at the end of May '04, for the first time, I met in real life someone "found" on VT, the great Niksa (Diocletianvs), from Zagreb!
We had a great time for 1 day and a half going around Genova trying to see everything we could see in that short time! Maybe we didn't see all, but I think Niksa could have a really good idea of the beauty of Genova!
I knew a very nice person and enjoyed myself being a "tourist in my own town" for some time!
Here is the only picture we took all togheter at the "Tre Finestre " restaurant along with my friend Michele and thanks to the very kind waitress who took the pic for 3 times trying to get the best light! ;-)
It was really great to spend my time with a foreign person, talking about everything and I really hope to meet other VTers soon in the future, so we could organize a real VT meeting here in Genova too!
In the meanwhile I wish Niksa a nice come back to Croatia, and maybe we'll see again in Zagreb or Split the next time! :-)

Oh, what an emotion! It was the first VT meeting outside Genova both for me and Michele76, and we had some problems to get in touch with Jolanda (Landad) before I left Italy, so I didn't know her number, and she didn't know my Polish one!
Fortunately the internet connection at the hostel let me see VT and cellular phones did the rest! ;-)

We met at a Pizzeria with Jola and her friend and colleague Barbara... but since we don't appreciate Polish pizzas so much (and we don't eat at 6pm!) we then went to a typical restaurant!

We had a great dinner with Jola and Barbara entertaining us while we were eating! ;-)

Then Barbara left us and we went walking along Ulica Długa and Długi Targ, where we took the 2 pics you see here!

And the great final: Michele and I are the only VTers who can say they have been to Landad's new flat, drinking beer, saying stupid things (like any good drunk man does!) and enjoying the view!!! :-)))

Really a great night, many thanks to Jola, we really hope to see you again, maybe in Genova! ;-)

And here is the second VT meeting abroad, my 3rd one, just few days after the second one, always during my trip to the Baltic states!
Here we are in Kaunas, where the wonderful Remigia took me and Michele at the bus station becoming our personal guide to her hometown!
She's really great, she knows really everyghing about Kaunas, and succeeded in making us seeing all we had to see (or at least almost all!) in Lithuania's 2nd largest town.
We also had a great lunch with her at a very nice restaurant, and then we met also with Sonja (Yumyum), from Switzerland, so we can say that was our largest meeting so far: 4 VTers all together!
Here is the only pic we took at the bus station, unfortunately it's not very nice (was Remigia too tired? ;-D), but we'll remember that great day for long, that's sure!
Thank you very much Remigia for the tour of Kaunas, and thank you Sonja too, even if you slept too much that day! ;-P

He cannot resist far from Genova for too much time, so, at the first opportunity, Mr Niksa " Diocletianvs has come back to my beloved hometown for a couple of days with 30 other croatian architects, going around to see the wonderful industrial zones of Genova!
We had some great time together, expecially with their big bus driving around the narrow streets of Genova! We also had the chance to know Snjezana, a wonderful croatian girl who lives here in Genova and who helped us during these days, also sometimes speaking Croatian with me and Italian with Niksa, which was not so clear! ;-))
Another great meeting again, Niksa is a real genovese "ad honorem" now, even if he didn't eat the farinata, but that's a good excuse to come back as soon as possible!

Here she is, the 5th VTer I meet in real life, the first of the year 2005... ladies and gentlemen, let me introduce Ilda (nona4), from London!
We met on VT forum talking about Genova and any suggestions for her trip to my hometown, then of course we met twice in real life, and we really had a great time together with her and her French friend.
We drank beer and wine, and chatted till late night in a nice place in the old town of Genova. Then she discovered our wonderful Riviera, Santa Margherita, Camogli and Nervi, I'm sure she enjoyed herself quite a lot here, even if it was colder than in England, but at least sunny!
It's a pity that the picture here is not so nice, we shot it at the last moment, before they took the bus to the airport, anyway it's our souvenir! ;-)
I really hope to meet them again in the future, we really spent some very good time together, and thanks to RyanAir we are not so far!
