'Flight' in the London Eye On a dreary April afternoon, I went with my cousin and brother for a so-called 'flight' on the British Airways-sponsored London Eye. The cost was £8 for an adult, and you could hire binoculars for a little extra. |
The queues !!! If you're an impatient sort, you might want to avoid this attraction. First (unless you've sensibly pre-booked your tickets using the credit card phone hotline)we had to queue for about 40 mins to buy a ticket. If you do pre-book this saves you alot of hassle - you just go to a machine and pick them straight up (but you can't predict the weather!). The ticket you buy is for a specific 'Flight time', so then you have to come back up to a few hours later and wait in a second queue, at the 'Boarding Gate' before you all begin to file into the constantly moving 'pods' on the wheel. You'll have about 30 people in a pod |
What you can see You get good views of the Houses of Parliament... |
...and can just make out St Paul's Cathederal |
