No, haven't been on the island of Morotai recently. Sorry fooks. I can't tell anything about Morotai. Just off Halmahera's northern arm (north of the Moluccas), Morotai was an important airbase during World War II, first for the Allies and later for the Japanese. The ghosts of war still linger in this area, where many wrecks of aircraft and rusting guns lie abandoned in the bushes.
And just know from tellings that Morotai is named the "Paradise island of palms". My mom told the Morotai-people do believe that these palm-trees never let loose their fruits when babies, children or any other innocent humans play under their leafy branches. You think so? |  | Palm-tree Maybe because of my first sight on a palm-tree, away from mom's neighbourhood, the palm-tree got interwoven into my being. And my interests in the existence of the palm, the water, the ocean. Maybe ... one day when I will get very very rich I am gonna buy a house on Palm Island (see pic). Though I guess with old-age I do prefer the neighbourhood of a real palm-tree, somewhere more eastwards ...
