Travel Tips

Both my daughter and her family and my son and his family live nearby so we get together frequently and always for birthdays and holidays. This photo was taken in our den Christmas 2003 and includes my wife's brother. Each of our children has a daughter and a son, ages 4, 8, 8, and 11 and they really love getting together, so it makes for lively and wonderful gatherings.

This is me and my wife, Sacra, at a wine tasting at our favorite local restaurant, Cafe Alsace. We have decided that the best photos of us always seem to be taken after we have had a good meal and a bottle of wine. We have done a lot of traveling together and she is a great travel partner. When I ask her, "Would you like to go to", she says yes before I finish saying where.
We feel very fortunate that we have a very close and congenial family. We always enjoyed our children and are glad they are such neat and likeable adults. They also both, without our assistance, found wonderful mates whom we appreciate and enjoy very much. Below are pictures of them all and more grandchildren photos.

This is my daughter, Jennifer, her husband, Jeff and their children, Samantha and Nicholas.

This is my son, Jeff, his wife, Leah and their children Sally (actually Sacra Allison) and Jake.

This is Samantha Joy, my oldest grandchild who is indeed a joy. Obviously, she is beautiful, but also very bright and sweet. She is 11 years old and starting Middle School (6th grade) this fall. I have been calling her my Sweet Pea all her life and she hasn't made me stop yet!

This is Sally (Sacra Allison) who is 8 years old and will be in 3rd grade this fall and obviously another beautiful granddaughter. She is my gardening partner at times and loves to cut flowers from my garden to take home to her mom. She also has not made me quit calling her Sugar Plum yet.

This is Nicholas who is also 8 years old and going into 3rd grade this fall. He has an uncanny sense of humor. When he was smaller we called him Nickaboo, but now he prefers Nick or Pickle. Here he is showing off his new "buzz cut."

This is Jacob Kennedy (Jake) who is 4 years old. The photo is of his pre-school graduation - he goes to pre-kindergarten in the fall. He is always (almost) smiling and happy and doesn't let anything get past him and makes me laugh just being around him. He was about the best dressed at his graduation - he is a little clothes horse. He asked for a blue blazer for his 3rd birthday! But doesn't he look sharp!
