"Grenfell Cottage Interior" Battle Harbour Travelogue by jamiesno

Battle Harbour Travel Guide: 65 reviews and 108 photos

The wood stove is more modern and wouldn't have been used for cooking.

As you can see the dining room in the Grenfell Cottage is very authentic and nice!

This old record player and records are on display in the Grenfell Cottage!

The Grenfell Cottage has a great sun porch with a perfect view of Battle Harbour. A great place to sit and read a book, relax, have a glass of wine maybe?

Here is yet another traditional stove in the Grenfell Cottage.

The bathroom in the Grenfell Cottege is very nice but still has the old world charm.

Here is the Kiddies Room in the Grenfell Cottage. There are two small beds and as you can see its like being up in the attic with the best view. I can imagine kids loving this room and looking out the window. Its a great spot.

Great page about BH (Battle Harbour - not Beverly Hills)! Love that sunset pic.

Hi Jamie, well what a beautiful little harbour, just the place i would love to be right now with just a book as company, and one of those giant cod for dinner LOL.

A fantastically interesting page Jamie!! This really is an amazing place - a visit looks like it would be so much fun. I remember using kerosene lamps and wood stoves at my Uncle's cottage many years ago!

Very interesting page, I find the plane crash being a signposted attraction a shade bizarre, and those (mural) cod are enormous - I've only ever seen them with chips before!!!

Great info on Battle Harbour, I hope to see icebergs one day. Too bad you couldn't get that close to the whale. I love seeing whales too, thanks for the tips!

Jaimie, what an absorbing and detailed description you provide of life in Battle Harbour, both in the past and present day. You show us a world that was more difficult but simpler than today. You are a true ambassador for Labrador. Thank you.

Battle Harbour sounds like it would be a good place to relax and and enjoy life. I like being able to put yourslf right in the mural. Oh yes kitchen partys, know them well.
