Los Angeles - June 24-27th

I'll make you a Celebrity Overnight

"yeah a 12 pack and directions to Pauly Shores"
Yes, that's what Chicago Hip Hop artist "Twista" would say. Yes you can stop by the local "Arco" gas station...pick up some beer and cigarettes (Don't smoke in public buildings)..and of course MOVIE STAR MAPS! :)

We've all seen pictures of the Hollywood sign and the Walk of Fame, so I'll spare you those.
I saved my quarters for the parking meter instead"

Pick up some "Bling Bling" via Rodeo

No place makes you think how pathetic your income is than Beverly Hills. Here's the outside of Tiffany and Co at Via Rodeo in BH.
Venice Beach - Poster depicting Iraqi prisoner

Political posters...

There were some interesting posters at Venice Beach. One vendor was selling Iraqi prison abuse pictures. I saw some pretty explicit ones. It's a pretty embarrassing thing to look at and we still need to address human rights issues to this day!

Basketball at Venice Beach

One thing I love to do when I go to different cities, is to play basketball at the local playground. It's a great way of interacting with the locals and having fun. It's a universal game and easy to set up. Here at Venice Beach...there's a variety of colorful players who all love to put on a show for the bystanders. Otherwise you can get in a pickup game with various skill level players. What a beautiful setting to play in!
Taking time to pose "peace" is the attitude!

Drum Circle - Venice Beach

I followed the sounds of drums on the beach to a crowd of various drummers in a circle. There I witnessed a wonderful site. Various drummers, percussionists and musicians were gathered and played their drums in a circle past sunset. People came all over and danced in the center of the circle. There were people of all races and ethnicities dancing and grooving to the beat. The drummers themselves were diverse and played the most common to the most obscure percussion instruments. It was great to see this....music is a common bond of humanity! The following are pictures from that drum circle. I urge anyone who comes to Venice Beach to see this!
This musician made his own instruments!
